At the same idea of two older projects, DANUBE PROJECT OVERVIEW 2005 and FILE.NILE: STUDIES THE NILE 2006, the artist intends to make a visual journey on different rivers in the world. Highlighting the importance of the rivers for humanity and understanding the river as a catalyst for the creation of culture, the artist search the geographical and cultural landscape of large rivers such as the Ganges, the Nile, the Danube, the Brahmaputra and the Bosphorus. Its main tool is a camera that captures through scan line that runs the length of each river in a boat. On the site, the viewer watches a video as if you were traveling the river in this boat and, using a map, placed below, may accompany this shift, with directions latitude and longitude changing as the mouse movement. Works well on PC, mobile and tablet.
